Mama Packs was founded in Leparua, a remote community in Isiolo County, Kenya in 2023. The dispensary is the only medical facility available to the sprawling, impoverished community. Women and girls walk miles through the African wilderness to deliver at the dispensary, often with little more than the clothes on their backs. Faced with this challenge, we spoke to local mothers, community health workers and traditional birth attendants about post birth needs and Mama Packs was born. We give post birth essentials to those who need it most!
